Pax was founded in 1948 by Oscar Pax as a repair shop for area farmers. In the late 1950’s, Francis J. Pax joined the business, and the Company started building dies and special tools for area businesses. The Company was incorporated and it moved to its current location in 1961. In the mid 1960’s, Pax purchased its first press and began producing metal stampings. To this day, the Company remains a family owned and operated business focused on serving the metal stamping needs of our customers.
Pax Machine Works designs and builds all the tooling and functional gauging required to produce and measure the product provided to our customers. Our capabilities and facilities include:
- In-House Engineering Department for Die and Machine Design
- In-House Tool and Die Shop for Die and Gauge Fabrication
- Full Prototype Part Design and Fabrication Department
- In-House Die Maintenance and Repair Capabilities
- Combination Maintenance and Fabrication Shop
- Press Room Consisting of Minster Machine Presses with a Full Range of Tonnage Sizes
- Secondary Department Consisting of Assembly, Tapping, Welding, Staking, Vibratory Finishing, Machining and Parts Washing Equipment
- In-House Dimensional/Calibration Laboratory
